MUSIC
IS FUN
Within every child is the voice, the movement,
the language of music. It begins with a
smile at the sound of your voice, and then,
the sheer amazement and pleasure in the
discovery of a voice of their own. The sing/song
cadence of a child's first conversations.
A spontaneous dance of delight. To a child,
music is elemental and irresistible!
Children love music for the pure joy of
it. When nurtured in a child's early years,
the rewards of a musical foundation expand
to provide immeasurable results. The comfort
and confidence of self-expression, the inspiration
to create, the pleasure of appreciation
are core building blocks for every child's
healthy, holistic development. In music's
education realm lie the benefits of sensory-motor
exploration, language development, abstract
thinking and the art of voluntary listening.
Music is a vital link for all future learning.
JOIN
IN THE MUSIC
For your child, there is no greater pleasure
than when you join in their play. The fun
of sharing music with your child brings
a warm and loving sense of togetherness.
And by joining with other parents and children,
music provides your child with a delightful
introduction to the social give and take
of community.
MUSICGARTEN
The Musikgarten program is the key that
opens the door to your child's world of
music. Through a combination of songs, playing
movement games and instruments, listening
and learning, you and your child are exposed
to a wonderful musical experience. At the
core of the Musikgarten Program is the repertoire
of developmentally appropriate curricula
allowing for each child's unique creative
expression. Created by Dr. Lorna Lutz Heyge
and Audrey Sillick œ internationally
acclaimed leaders in early childhood music
and movement education œ the Musikgarten
curricul are used across the United States,
Canada, Europe, and Asia.
KINDERMUSIK
Kindermusik is a unique, highly creative
music and movement learning experience for
young children. In Kindermusik Beginnings,
children ages eighteen months through three
years, along with their parent/caregiver,
sing, chant, move, listen, and play simple
instruments. Growing with Kindermusik, for
three and four-year-olds, continues to nurture
musical development through songs, dramatic
play, movement, and home activities. Both
programs emphasize family invovement and
the development of a healthy home musical
environment.
